Just to be a pain.... what if 50% are out?

Same rule will apply. Game is cancelled and we return prizepool to remaining players evenly.

Should add something like this to the TC speech in the beginning, venues will like it:

"Make sure you stick around even after you have lost all your chips - if there is a blackout or something which causes the event to be cancelled, you will all receive your buy-ins back"

Although, it could have the unwanted effect of players thinking of a way to get the rest of the tourney cancelled...

Then if they find a loophole they can come to me plead their case:

Garth did say distributed evenly to REMAINING players i believe. I.e. if half the players were left you would get twice your buyin.

Misinterpreted 'remaining' to mean those that havn't gone home but played...

Thought it'd be in a similar fashion to what happened online tonight

Yeah, it's exactly the same.

Good to get clarification just in case

im assuming those already out of the tournament tonight did not receive anything? if they did i will be asking them individually for 73c per person. They should get nutting.
