Don't worry mate, Carmine and I are the best of mates. We never let what goes down on the felt get in the way of that.

well said tim. it has started to get out of hand. i don't know about the other teams but i enjoyed the competition all day with the other teams(but esp sin to win) witch was a battle in the best spirit and at the end of the competition we all said well done and left the riverly at the poker tables witch was a real plus point of the day.

Very true, and that is how this 888pl v APL event will be run. Go at it on the felt, shake hands and say congrats to the winners (whoever that may be), and have a beer afterwards...

A league v league tournament will obviously create a lot of interest and it's no surprise each league wants to show they are best, but we must not lose sight of the fact that the one thing we all have in common is the love of poker. Poker players by their very nature are egocentric. Competitive spirit is not a bad thing, but there is a line and when you start disrespecting people and making it personal, then you've crossed the line. I look forward to watching this but hope people will respect each other and have a laugh at the end of the day.

Robert (Hoover) Lark, another great post. Thanks for the acknowledgement of Sin2Win. We definitely enjoyed the friendly rivalry between the 2 teams, and appreciated the respect that was shown both ways. Looking forward to doing it again soon, and no matter who wins it, well, I think wabbit said it best "I just wanna play poker"
Lets keep it fun.
Mate, if you're after a big game on a weekly basis, come down to the Para Hills Community Club (PHCC) on Bridge Road on a Thursday night. 6:30 rego for 7:30 start. Always 120 -140 runners every week. You will be most welcome

I played for the checkside team and must say that i had a great day. I enjoyed the rivalry between the two leauges and didnt notice any bad blood, just friendly windups and banter. The fact that an APL team was the winner will just bring more intrest for the next event and will hopefully get more teams involved. The only downside for the day was the numbers for the $25 dollar freezeout tourny which probably could have been talked up a little more in the venues during the week. All in all it was a good day and i am looking forward to the next one!

I like what you said Tim i agree

i am just very passionate about winning i hate to lose
i get fired up

reason for getting so angry is that people are talking the talk who
have never played out side of free pub poker and actually stept in the real world of poker such as big games tourni and cash games

wen they experince that and get a shock of there life...

eg: cash game...... you alot of free roll players talk about donkeys and how bad they are and how can you call this and that

well let me tell you dont play cash game because you will get a shock of your life

Thats all

Thanks cant wait for 888 teams event cant wait for 888 grand final im exited
