The NPL website isn't anything Flash but it has great userbility and the interface is quite basic. Most players just want to check venues and scores. Our compititions website may be a bit more flash on looks but over-all userbility is quite poor.

Choc-Man, being an IT inclined individual, you would no doubt have no issues with its use. Many of the NPLs members had never needed or used the web until they became NPL members.

a Flash site certainly doesn't mean that particular company will run good events. The NPL website being more basic certianly doesn't reflect quailty our the NPL event either.

Personally from my previos multimedia exprience i find that the more flash a website site less it actaullt does. :)

The "other" brands sites are horrible.
They look nice and sexy - but I can't find a thing.

everyone thinks npl website is really easy to use. info you want to find is easily found, by far the easiest site to use.

it is all the outdated information that drives everyone crazy.

but that has been discussed in great detail. I just wanted to stick an oar in there too.

LOL.
Thanks Shannon.
I don't want to say anything more about the IT guys or the website as I may get myself into a whole mess of trouble. I have some personal opinions on the website, but I will leave them out for the time been.

i havent played at any of the other inferior competitions, but i have checked out their websites

they all look good on the first page, but if you actually wanna find out anything, they are pretty bad

npl webiste is extremely easy to find all of the information you need.

as shannon said, the only problem is the fact that there is outdated information on there, and that announcements are not put up as frequently as they should.

for example, there are many announcements that are only posted on the forums, and not the website - prime example is the list of state qualifiers that is posted here but not on the NPL website

i think that all is needed, is a local person that can write whatever they want on there, make it more current information, and more announcements etc.

this could include when new venues are starting up, maybe even up-to-date stamping policies of the venues etc.

otherwise, i think its really good

That was one of the main reasons I started the forum

fair enough - well done for making me not do any work any more!

but there are announcements, and there are announcements

i think a lot of them should be on the website as well as the forum

especially things like state finals qualifiers should be up on the NPL website the second they are worked out
