By now the event has been run and won.
An awesome day with over 60 runners from locals other riverlanders a couple from the South East and a car load from Mildura.
The day started with a free BBQ lunch for all, after play got underway it took a couple of blind level's to loose the 1st player, when it was down to the last 16 the McDonald twins were on the same table eventually Ben shifted his chips to Matt.
Final table was made up of 4 from Mildura 3 from Renmark and 2 from Waikerie.
The most important thing is to Thank Neville and his staff of the Waikerie Club for a great day, also Todd and Paul for running the event lets hope there will be similar events in the future.
I'll let Toddy post a full report.

good post gunny. yeah i thought neville and his staff were bloody good. putting on a free BBQ for lunch was great, the drink prices are always pretty good, and it was great that they took dinner orders off people early so they could get everybody fed in the half an hour dinner break. great stuff.

My Idea!
Dom Catalano....errr...he's from some place called Renmark shipped it!
Thanks for everyone that made the effort to come only 2 weeks out from Xmas, it was a good day.
My apologies to everyone for my angry/grumpy mood as a lot of things were not going to plan early, but we still managed to kick it off on time and finish on time too. (FYI - the bus from Renmark forgot to show up, and there was a lot of ringing around and re-organising pick-ups. Then when we got to the venue, nothing was set up so we had to do it all right there and then.)
Thanks to Gundog and old George for helping set up the tables and to Michael Brown for letting us use the Ute.
Thanks also to Krunchie for making a big effort Sat night too.
