state semis qualification

Postby madali » Tue Jan 11, 2011 10:57 pm

Ok really confused. I have read the update on the website and thought I understood but not so sure now. If I finish top 4 in venue in a season can I play just state semi's or must this be used for my regional final. My son has come home and advised that it must be used for regional and you must finish top 4 in two venues to qualify for state as this is what was announced in venue. He has spoken to our RO tonight when I argued this was wrong and his response to the sms was that your first qualification must be used for regional and to qualify for state semi's without paying $50 you must finish top 4 in 2 venues.

Can you clarify please as I thought I understood the new qualification until now.

Hi Gail,

Your Finals ticket can be used for whatever final you wish to participate in!

Our RM is wrong and he will be reeducated on the matter.

Thank you for that Garth because as I said I was really confused and I didn't think I was reading the news story wrong. My RM is great and I think that he has just read the information wrong. Plus I don't like loosing an argument with my son :D
