Ditto...although I grew up around that area (went to LeFevre High) and couldn't wait to get out of the place! Happy hours are wonderful things tho.....
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

It looks like that event may become the flagship event for the NW if not the entire metro area.

G'day Garth,

Excellent job with the comp in general and particularly the Palais ... Alex and Matt are great hosts and there's a pretty good bunch of folk that get down there.

Can't really offer too many suggestions on how to improve it, but I think with the prizes on offer, the upstairs section being in place (next week) and the warmer weather on it's way the place is definitely going to hit the heights you've suggested.

Cheers,
JK

So lads of the NE... when are we heading down that way to mix it up with the NW'ers?? :)

I think that one of us is due for a win... except Pete. Let's hope he never wins again

Learn to embrace it Ondie :)

I reckon not this Tues coming (due to it being my gf's bday and my life not worth THAT much) but the following Tuesday (the 30th) for a trip down to the Palais to mix it with the locals. If I'm lucky...I won't see anyone I know from school :)

Although I might see if I can get 2 of my brothers and possibly my old man down there seeing as they still live down that way.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Well that would give us plenty of time to try and convince a lot of other people to head down there if they aren't already. I'm liking the idea.

Thanks guys for all your positive comments...we too believe that we can be the premier event in the NW and can even press the best in the state.
Part of the reason we have such a great event now is the type of player we attract. A better group of people you couldn't hope to meet and some very solid players to boot.
A couple of updates for you all, the end of season prize will be $1000.00, but how it will be divided is still in discussion. We are also still looking into monthly prizes, we'll keep you informed on that one too. Confirmation on our weekly prize, it is indeed $200.00 for first and a $50.00 venue voucher for second. Giveaways and bounties will be flying about too. We'll also be running a 'Beat the DM' competition where if you're the one who knocks me out of the Tourney, you'll win a carton! And I'm not gonna throw it.
Thanks to all for the continued support, particularly Des, Garth, Brock, Greg, JK and all our regulars, some of whom have become mates. We'll see you all on Tuesday!
