A 2 day, deepstack poker extravaganza?

Sounds good in principle, but I play football on Saturdays so unless it's on the long weekend, June would be no good for me. There may be a number of others in the same boat, who play sport on weekends and can't make it during winter.

I agree the Vine Inn at Nuriootpa would be an ideal venue, also the Berri Resort Hotel, or somewhere similar,but the more cost and time involved for people travelling will decrease the numbers attending.

A long weekend may be the easiest way for people to make the time commitment required by combining a trip away to the country.

River Murray Queen would be awesome if there were some way it could happen!

The problem with Long Weekends are that the venues would most likely be booked out, and it would be harder for travellers to find accommodation.

Berri would be fine for me though, I know people up there

I agree with Bacon, a long weekend venue would be bordering on the rediculous!!!!! (Read my post)

I think Motels, Hotels, Caravans, cabins and C'Park spaces would be hard to arrange plus you would be paying a premium holiday weekend rate.

River boat tourney would be nice but maybe not practical.

I completely forgot about the guys & gals and their weekend sports. Maybe the Saturday sports people can play that night or even on the Sunday. It would be a bit harder for the Sunday ones though.

And then there's the punters who want to support their venue!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm, looks like it may be a dud, coz you can't please everyone all of the time. What do you think?????

You can't please everyone, but if you organise an event, people will play.

Not everyone can make it, and that's just bad luck. I hadn't even thought about MY Saturday soccer matches, so I probably wouldn't be free (unless its on a Cup weekend, and we are already out ).
