Slapped in the face with a wet fish!

Postby Grant Pepper » Sun Feb 20, 2011 3:41 am

I am not one to normally share a sick beat, but tonight i copped one and had to grin and smile not to ruin a good night. In this case it happened anyway, because the whole room's mood dropped, and the game ended about 40mins later. The other 5 players where all like what the truck?

Home Game, 7 Handed, 0.05 & 0.10 cent blinds, ring game. $20Max buyin.

So I grind for about 4 hours and get upto alittle shy of $100.

UTG, I pickup KK and raise to 0.40 cents. 3 callers, both big and small blind have folded.

Flop comes [3d] [Kd] [Qc]

I bet $3.00 (no cheap draw for flush) *pot worth $1.05*

Next to act (Player A) calls, and the two remaining call.

Turn card is the [5s] *Pot worth $13.05*

As UTG I act first and bet $10

The next to act (Player A) raises min to $20, the 2 remaining fold.

I raise all in, and it's about $40 more to call, on top of his $20.

he tanks for about 5 mins, saying two things, A) i thought you were bluffing & B) asks me if I would be upset, if he hits at the river.

He calls, and shows hes hand

The river is (Put him on a hand before you click to see) Hint for you is that i lost the hand.

[6s]

he has rolled
[7h] [4h]

Honestly played the all good card, but the room tempo died in the ass, and the night ended. (I finshed $35 up, and tossed the host a Five'er for hosting.)

So theres my first bad beat story posted on here for all to read.

I put him on either AJd or A10d for the flush or straight draw.

But I must say other than pocket 2's (bobbits) I will play 74 every time especially in the early blinds as they have to be one of my most winning hands.
Remember, It takes 8 muscles to smile :D and 40 to frown :(
