Lets not get off thread into legalities, that will be worked out later, lets just keep it as a freeroll for now.

FYI.....Here is an edited copy of an e-mail Brock sent me a little while back:

Also you guys next season could look at running an Avoca Paddlesteamer exactly the same as I used to run. It costs $1500 for a 4 - 5 hour cruise.

I used to cater for it but I would probably just organise a barbeque and use
most of their money from the buy in towards the prizes. Charge $100 per
ticket. Note - it is in NSW waters so we are able to charge the players. We
had 70 at the first one. By the time we covered the boat $1500 and the
catering $1500 and the staff $400 and $2000, $1000, $500 for the top 3
finishers that was it.

We also ran cash game sit and go's for people who were knocked out. We used
to charge $10 for a wrist band and that entitled them to play in as many sit
and go's as we had time for. We ran $50, $20, $10 sit and go's every hour on
the hour.

We always ran the game on Sundays. Table service all day. It is an
incredible day.

For you guys it is all about promoting and then selling the tickets, issuing
receipts. You could run it the Sunday after the season ended. We should look at doing some promotions in SA for games on the boat as
well. It is unbelievable and what is more is that no one else offers it.
Talk to you about in on the weekend if not before.
. Bring it back, bring it back, bring
it back again.

Sorry this email is all over the place but I am flat out at the moment.

Email me if you have any questions and as soon as I have time to scratch my
b#*s I will respond. Peace

Maybe there could be a poll, with price ranges.

And how cool would it be if, say for the week prior, all the venue winners played a tourney for a free seat onto the boat.

Personally, id easily pay the $100 for the game on the murray river queen. I moved to waikeire at the start of the year, so accommodation is no probs for me. The food on the MRQ is great, not sure whether they would allow BYO stuff though, even for a BBQ - its reasonably swish, but i guess you could check that out. sounds like a fantastic idea. im in!
