Adelaide play the easy teams twice and they have a great home record.

They are virtually assured of making the 8, if not higher.

Essendon are the overrated side as I reckon they will lose their legs in the 2nd part of the year and don't think they will make it.

Carlton will not make Top 4 and will be in there fighting to make the Top 8.

Kangas & WC outside smokies to make 8.

Time will reveal all!!!!!! :D

adelaide play gold coast, west coast, brisbane and port adelaide twice (as well as st kilda and geelong)

fair chance at 8 or more wins right there, which means 3 of their remaining 10 to get 12 wins and make the eight (they already have 1 win)

here is my ladder

1. Collingwood
2. Western Bulldogs
3. Hawthorn
4. Geelong
5. Sydney
6. Adelaide
7. St Kilda
8. Calrton
9. Essendon
10. Fremantle
11. Melbourne
12. North Melbourne
13. West Coast
14. Richmond
15. Port Adelaide
16. Brisbane
17. Gold Coast

I've generally been impressed with Carlton and I think this year things are falling into place, they have a good list and the right mentality which should serve them well.

Once we beat them next week rcon ;), I am expecting them to do well for the rest of the season. Based on current form they would beat Hawks and Bulldogs and possibly Geelong.

Bookies have them at 4th or 5th.

What carlton beat Richmond by 20 points, Where the Hawks smashed them by 63 points in the pissing down rain. & what you beat GS by 119 points in their 1st ever A.F.L game.
Where did you get this theory from Trishan the Pikies ?

Adelaide will struggle. Despite having those easier games against easier opponents, I don't think it's enough. At most they will get 7th, but I think 8th or 9th is more realistic.

St Kilda will struggle also, and will get the spot that Adelaide doesn't. Still a really good side, but will get around 12 or 13 wins. I just think that overall, they don't score enough.

+1

Adelaide were pretty average against against Freo, and relied on a few special efforts to get over the Hawks.

Can't see them winning a final unless something clicks into place, I wonder what role on 'staff' Craig will assume next year.

A few injuries should bring Collingwood back to the pack a little, and history shows that AFL coaches are a smart bunch and will work out ways to negate the 'forward press' in the latter part of the season.

My Ladder

Collingwood
Hawthorn
Bulldogs
Fremantle
Carlton
Geelong
St.Kilda
Sydney
Essendon
Adelaide
Richmond
Melbourne
North
WC
Port Adel
Brisbane
GC

Very early days tho and I havent even seen half of them play.
May all your pain be champagne!

Adelaide won't be battling for a position in the 8, they'll be battling to stay out of the bottom 4. Port at their lowest without Pearce and K Cornes, horrible loss.

I thought surely Adelaide can't lose this game - so I multied them up in a few bets at $1.47 as my "lock". Was an expensive PA win for me.
