Good turnaround by the Crows - they really need to win this game.

I think it's more a case of no Jobe/Hocking/Hurley(/Winderlich/Dempsey) and Essendon will still come close. I think we did well given our injuries and I also thought we had our opportunities to win.

We had more inside 50s but out conversion was poor. It took us 4.5 inside 50s to score a goal while Richmond needed just under 3. It was turnovers that really cost us.

Everyone's been waiting for the Essendon bubble to burst and finally everybody has something but with so many players out it's a game we should have got thrashed in but could have won 10 points down in the last quarter.

i think everyone has been underestimating richmond too - i think they are starting to get a pretty good mix through their midfield, and martin is going to be an absolute gun - he will win a brownlow in his career

concur. As trashed as we were from injuries, Tigers have shown flashes of something special and just managed to hold a decent level of play for more than a quarter (which makes a change)

And I reckon everyone has been overestimating the Bombers.

They will fall away in the second half of the year as many of their younger players won't be able to run out the season.

Time will tell
