Feedback is feedback, but what about starting a thread congratulating the staff on running a great tournament and working for 20 hours plus, Suzie and myself were on site for almost 22 hours.

The good thing is that if the only negative aspect to come out of the state finals is that it is a flight system, I am one happy man.

Actually the thread congratulating staff was made 2 days before this one.

Thanks for pointing that one out.
But still, one post from one player who finished second doesn't exactly equate to 5 pages of thread debating the flight system.

But as I said if the flight system is the only negative we walk away with then it is a very good day.

It doesn't take a lot of effort to thank a TD or shake their hands or express your gratitude for their efforts in producing a good tournament or final. Look at the BG guys talk about their regionals?

A lot of staff have already expressed to me their displeasure with the forum and it's posters but on the day were ecstatic with the amount of people that took the time to come up to them or myself and congratulate us on an exceptional tournament.

I would personally like to thank all the staff here publicly, I have attended several state finals across several states and from several companies. Ours is by far the best, professionally and recreationally, and if we didn't have such the staff and the team we do it would be nowhere near as good as what it currently is.

I think you have to attend another state final in another state or offered by another competitor to really appreciate NPL SA's finals.

Thanks for the feedback guys, we will endeavor to eradicate the flight system from all future finals and satellites. But it will still need to be a one day event and more than likely on a Sunday.

Negative experience = complaint.
Complaint doesn't have the negative overtures many people are associating with it.
Maybe I should change it to constructive complaint or criticism?
But every company has a complaints department and it is often referred to as support or customer support, no longer a complaint line.
When you notify a company of a problem in it's system or product it is a complaint.
Definition of a complaint:
1. An expression of pain, dissatisfaction, or resentment.
2. A cause or reason for complaining; a grievance.

I would like to congratulate Garth and ALL the staff on a magnificent day (even if I didn't make the cash.. just).

Couldn't ask for more from a free poker company, or even a company that charged (us) for the ability to play.

As I said previously, I would travel anywhere and have WHATEVER break if it means the event works out the best logistically.

In saying that, I wish my 8s had held up.

Well said Dave (8's are evil)

Garth, I honestly think they were just having a chat. In simple terms - there was a flight system and they were talking about it. No biggie, everyone loved the day. Mine was infinitely better than last time lol

If anything, I prefer the flight system. Adds a new dimension to the tournament and gives us all something extra to talk about.

Stuffed if I know how you stayed on your feet for that long though, champion effort.

One thing I noticed and thought was pretty neat is how you had a good vantage point way up there and could supervise everything from above yet still be close enough to give instructions to staff.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
