1 Forward kicking most of the goals
or
the entire forward line sharing the load
which do you reckon is more desirable?
i get your point, if you look at most teams that win premierships, they always have a good spread of goalkickers, BUT there is always a gun forward among the lot that kicks a lot of goals.
i.e geelong last year:
C.Mooney 67
S.Johnson 49
N.Ablett 34
M.Stokes 32
G.Ablett 30
single gun forward, but with a lot of support
if you took away mooney though, you still have a forward line that contributes a lot, and still probably have a winning forward line, but with 67 less goals kicked.
you could say that if mooney wasnt there, everyone else would chip in and kick his goals, but i dont think that happens as well as it should

what do you think the reason was?
best defence ever, gun midfield, an ok forward line.
if it wasn't the forward line that let them down, where was it
