interesting very interesting,

these 'marketing gurus ' at the NPL can create some very cunning ploys to attract punters.

my initial response is no bonus points leave as is. [ for all the previous afore mentioned points. ].

however to attract punters to have a go its not entirely without its merits...

if you have a regular venue and are ' top 5 ing it you might fear the random Mr Donald Key getting bonuses but you too have a chance of consolidating increasing your position..

you could also ' raid ' a second, third, or even fourth venue strike an Ace night , create as ' flush ' and then leave with points and upset the ' locals ' .

question to admin-- what is the mean[average venue size number of runners for Metro and Country venues. ??
I think the randomnivity of ' bonus points ' adds additional intrege to it all ...

Personally the scenario/s that occured in Regional -- B&G season one was more exciting and furfilling than the "States" and think the status quo should hold.

but I'll play to the rules/structure provided.

Think I'll create a new signature.

...That's Life ...Thats Poker

 8-) :) :D :P

Resounding no at the moment.
This thread was implemented because we were discussing a few campaigns today.
In Victoria we see a new venue sign up and do relatively well, in the last three weeks we can see those venue numbers drop considerably due to the fact that the majority cannot achieve a top 5 placing.
The venue sees their numbers drop from 60 to 30 or 40 and then decide not to re sign.
It's just the way the market is in Vic. I personally did not like the idea but I got asked to post a survey and see what the result was.
To be honest guys I cannot see this been implemented but we might be doing a repechage system.
we have a few things in the pipeline.
Next thing I would like to ask our metro guys.
Would you prefer a regional $1000 final
or a satellite series at the end of every season very similar to the sky city one?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Dave, your system is a little too complicated to communicate to the majority of our players, we have to try and keep it simple.
The bonus points system was an idea because it doesn't cost the company anything to implement this.
I know as players that you don't really care where or why the company does these things or we look at them, but I am trying to communicate the best way I can.

repechage tourney would be excellent

bruce is talking about the fact that noone knew who was going to win the regional leaderboard until the last night effectively

also, the venues were a buzz with talk of the regionals, and people playing multiple venues in the last week to qualify for them.

well i think thats what bruce was talking about, after all, does anyone know what bruce is talking about? :D

The qualification for the B & G regionals was only to have played 15 games in that region?

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

benny the cunt has replied with the thoughts I would endorse.

playing on the night at a local venue amongst fellow qualifiers for reasonable prize monies in the absence of Mr Donald Key or his fellow relatives was indeed a 'buzz'.

The smoothness of the venue and NPL staff{ Garth final table dealer, Darren b and Matty Norwood}, made the night most enjoyable.

Hauslers ' red face '

the early departure of Ryan Little and Al Hunt.

the fact I outlasted fellow forum posters and the 'LeaderBoard monies earners to 22nd.

proved that my foldem game has merits.

my final hands ----> BB 10, 4 folded 2000chips

next SB 2,3 clubs suited all in 1500 chips... called and defeated by troyh's? pocket Q's.

witness the 'bragging rights' for the final table in particular

'todd' , Karl and Honi whose playing proved /improved to be able to Final table a 'big Event" well done /congrats to all !!!

looking forward to the next one and winning something.

[I believe B&G regional final was the 1st regional in SA and support Garth's adjustments// increase to The LeaderBoard/ finals prize monies ]
