have to say that i am LOVING the new 5k start stacks for the freeroll games. it means for at least the first 2 hours you can actually play a bit of poker and not just sit around and wait for hands. it only really lengthens the night by 20 mins at most, so its not a big issue.
i dont mean for this to sound bad, but the last few games of 888pl have been the most enjoyable for me in a good couple of years (besides finals obv)
for someone who had become bored with 888pl, this is really good. i hope there are more innovations to come

Yar it's good.
Personally I would've thought 3k or maybe 4k - but 5k is great too.
You definitely go out thinking it'll be a better night.

This might actually get me playing in venues again. I know i was getting a little bit tired with waiting for a hand, shoving and either winning or losing a race, then going home. This is excellent news and might get me playing in venue again.

now, you can nurse your start stack (with your stamp cards), and come back from the second break at 1k/2k, with 7.5bb and still some room for an orbit or 2.

You should sacrifice sleep for a night and come to the Watermark on a Thursday. $10 buyin, 7:30 start.
10K start, 10K for each card. 15 min levels. We had 25 last night and it still didn't finish until 12:45am, at which point the blinds were only 20k/40k.

I am also a big fan.I hadn't played 888 since the NPL days.
I went along to the Arkaba Tuesday night ( Lincoln ran a great game as always) and was happy to see the revised format.
As mentioned it alows more play, although for some on my first table it just meant that 3rd pair was good for an all in call for over 70 BB . But once all the peanuts were elimanated it was great.
As for the Antes.... GREAT IDEA.. With the deeper stacks you could steal alot more pre and i think it definetly makes for a better game..
Nice work 888!!!
