One of the listeners asked today whether I have ever been trained in speaking or had I come from a politcial family/background.

I just love speaking, it must also be noted that I was sick as a dog at the time of that interview and the cut outs are from when I broke into hacking coughs.

The thumping sound is from me hitting my armrest, you notice which areas I get passionate about and start flinging my arms about!

I'm happy to say that the ideas you guys are shooting out are the same ideas we are already brainstorming. Which tells me we know our target audience.

I really do appreciate the constructive criticism. We want to produce a show that is fun and something that regular podcast listeners want to throw in to there regular line up.

I know it's cliched, but this your show. So with the great feedback we are getting this show can only do good things.

We are certainly going to try new things, they won't all work but we'll have a whole lot if fun trying them out.

Thanks again for the constructive comments.

yeah old man Swanky gave me a good telling off when he heard it whilst editing.

old-man daryl has been using an old crappy version of audition, and we both have been using some ~ $50 headsets, but we bought some of these bad boys, http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/P ... tudio.html, so the show should sound noticeably better for the next time.

As old-man daryl said, we are really excited by the response that this show has had so far, and if you want to hear about something, or want to suggest a segment, or if you want to be on the show, then just drop us a line and we will be happy to work something out.

benny the cunt, never read the news again :)

I really liked the first ep, I felt that the first third or so of this ep went quite backwards - most likely to overscripting or similar.

To be honest the um's and ah's weren't that bad the first time because it made it a LOT more like you were sitting back just chillin' with the bro's and having a conversation. Perhaps another way of saying it would be along the lines of talking to a person(s) rather than talking at them. Trishan's point about engagement was quite good.

I don't find much wrong with news about the poker world as a whole, but perhaps streamlining it more towards how big happenings (like with FT) would have a possible flow on effect to the pub poker scene - a "what does that mean for us?" type scenario.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the thumps from Garth, as Dave said it was very clearly emphasising a point.

Keep it up guys and I know you're working hard on polishing the product.

Looking forward to the next one.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Listened to episode 2 and again nice work. Have to agree with Pete the beginning did sound very scripted and due to this lacked the some of the Charisma of the first one. Here is my feedback hope it helps.

1/ Love the way you start the show with a rundown of who you are and what the listeners can expert from tonight show i.e special guest xyz, special segments etc
2/ Love the way you ease yourself into the show a quick run down on what the two of you have been doing poker wise since the last episode really helps listeners feel comfortable with both of you and will help keep new listeners coming back each week.
3/ If you have anything big to discuss avoid reading it straight from an article or something you prepared earlier. Both read it prior to the show and then just right down a couple of key words to keep you on track. If one starts to loose where they are at the other will pick it up. Also as you are starting the website and think you have missed something just simply say "More info is at our website" and then plug the website ( traffic to the website also equals another opportunity to sell advertising also)
4/ The natural banter between the two of you is gold! It is obvious that you are comfortable working together and both of you have great tone and pace. Your poker knowledge is evident whenever you both go into unscripted territory as well. Trust your knowledge you both have a lot
5/ Love that you welcomed people back after the break as it helps distinguish between the show and the ads.
6/Love the variety in the show.

You get the hint Love the show ( perhaps I should have just said that  )
