Pat on the back for 888

Postby Swanky » Thu Aug 18, 2011 7:54 pm

Last night 888 was experiencing some difficulties.

During 2 tournaments I was playing, a message popped up about a zillions times telling me they were doing some maintenance and that we may experience a few minor problems but all was well.

Unfortunately for me it meant the Addon button was missing at the end of the rebuy period in one tourny. Kinda sucked but I made do.

That tourny I didn't fair too well in, so on to the next, a $2k GTD 1 rebuy.

I did what I normally do, I bought in then immediately got my rebuy.

I'm playing for about an hour, when all of a sudden my screen freezes and I can't do anything.

I close 888 and attempt to log back and see if it works, unfortunately, I got a message saying I was already logged in and needed to logout first!??!!

Frustrated I restarted my lappy, but still nothing.

So I send help an email and get the standard, "well get back to you in 48 hours". Great. So I go to bed.

This morning I get an email that read:

Dear Member.

Thank you very much for contacting us and bringing this matter to our attention.

Please be advised that the error message that you saw displayed earlier today was the result of some behind the scenes maintenance, which was not expected to have any impact on user interface with www.888poker.com. The maintenance was part and parcel of our ongoing mission to be the Number One Online Poker Site and we apologise for the result that this had on your account. I am pleased to be able to confirm that the maintenance is now complete and that the issue that caused you to see that you were already logged on has been resolved. You will now have no problems whatsoever in accessing your account.

Please be assured that at no time during this maintenance was the security of your account in question and that the message that you saw was, as afore mentioned, merely displayed in error.
In the event that the maintenance caused a disruption that led to the loss of your buy in or stake, please contact us with the Tournament ID/Table Name and the amount in question and we will investigate this further

We thank you for your patience and understanding and wish you the vest best of luck on our tables.

Kind regards,

Daniel Wade

When I get home from work however, same message.

So I take a screen cap and send that through.

I got out do a little shopping, gone maybe an hour when i get a reply from "Daniel" saying all fixed now.

Sure enough I log in and boom I'm back!

Straight away I get the tourny info, send that through to "Daniel" and ask how I go about claiming by $12 back.

Not 10 minutes later I get this:

Dear old-man daryl.

Thanks once again for the speedy reply. Fantastic news that you have been able to get back in.

I am sorry for the inconvenience and the fact that you were locked out of the account. To make amends, I have credited $15 to you, which is reflected in your BR now.

All the best!

Kind regards,

Daniel Wade

Now I was really only after my $12 back and sure it's only $3 profit. but quite frankly I'm stoked with the service, once the ball was rolling, problem was solved almost instantly, funds returned with interest.

So a big thanks to "Daniel" and the 888 team, just another reason why I'll continue to play here!
