Certainly buying tickets for the second match of the reds season at hindmarsh now that special k is coming to town! Can't bloody wait for the season in general. We are going to give the title a real shake this year!

I really, REALLY want to agree about the title push but with Flores leaving that leaves a massive gap (which is weird because he's skinny as).
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yeah the one weakness we have is that we don't have an out and out play maker. Whether Vidosic can play centrally I don't know, I like him wide moreso, perhaps caravella might play attacking mid. He certainly has the potential to do it. I think we will play a 4-4-2 with a flat midfield containing slory, caravella, levchenko and Vidosic. Or add dilevski in there if they want to play levchenko alongside McKain in defense.

Re: A-League Season 2011/2012
Sydney FC will announce the signing of Brett Emerton today. Another massive signing for the a-league that will probably push Sydney from battling to make the finals, to pushing to be a title contender.
Each team in the league now has at least one or two absolute guns that will bring people through the gates.
The top three in my opinion will be Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne Victory, but Perth and Sydney have recruited strongly and Central Coast will be good again too. Melbourne Heart, Gold Coast, Newcastle (even with Culina joining his dad at the club) and Wellington will make up the numbers i think.
The Melb Victory and Sydney (kewell v emerton) season opener has been brought forward a few days so that both can be fit for an Australia WCQ a few days later, so that looks like an awesome start to the season. Then, a couple of days later, Adelaide travel to Perth to take on ex-captain Travis Dodd over there. It will be Vidosic, Slory, Van Djik and Djite versus Smeltz, Dodd and Sterjovski in attack for both clubs so that should have heaps of goals in it.
The A-league keeps getting better and better. Crowds will rise this year, and with the season starting later (and therefore not competing with AFL aqnd NRL finals) i think they are positioned nicely to potentially organise some matches on free-to-air television when the new tv deal comes up in 2013.
The longest off season ever will be followed by the most anticipated season ever.
Im almost as much of an Adelaide United fan now as i am a Crows fan.

Last season saw people's interest in the A League decline but hopefully these big signings will get people back into stadiums and eyes watching broadcasts.

for a casual observer that doesnt watch every game, signing these big australian names that still play regular international games is awesome for the game, and means that it will cement it's legitimacy as a serious league of its own and not some feeder league for europe.
my interest in the a league seems to grow every season. wish i had fox so i could watch more games
