just listening to huff and stapes now, OMG hilarious. he basically invites a chick to come on the show that he had a date with but they didn't really hit it off and he crushes his soul, but in a funny way. like watching a train wreck full of clowns.

Ok so it’s time for a podcast update

I’m going to update all the podcasts I listen too regularly below, but this time I am going to sort them into similar types for comparison.
Most links can be found in previous lists or just Google the main name you will find them.
Due to black Friday we have lost a few podcasts, Poker road being the main one, but thankfully we have gained some new ones like “the rail”.

News and Interview Type Poker Podcasts-

2+2 Pokercast- 5 Krunchies - Weekly 2hr podcast, with world poker news, interviews and some strategy, in my opinion this is the Rolls Royce of poker casts.

Espn the poker edge- 2.5 Krunchies- Weekly 1/2 hr. news and interview podcast. Has improved out of sight since Andrew Feldman took over the main role when Phil Gordon Ran away with your Full Tilt Money. This show is ok, but doesn’t present anything new.

Poker News podcast- 4 krunchies- Weekly hour long News and interviews podcast, has come on strong as late really picking up their act, particularly over the WSOP when they went to daily, Certainly worth your time.

Final Table Radio Show- 3 Krunchies- Weekly 1 hour News and Interview podcast featuring Dennis Phillips. This Show comes from a slightly unique angle concentrating on the live casino based games, tailors its show towards older American Casino regulars- good interviews, can be quite entertaining- recently has involved the team from “stackem coaching” for regular strategy session.

The Hard core poker show- 2 Krunchies- Weekly 1 hour News and Interview podcast- Canadian Based, well produced but doesn’t offer anything above the really good shows to stand out.

The Rabbit Hunt -3 Krunchies- Weekly 1 hour poker news podcast found on the Pokerati network, does also have interviews but is mainly there to go into depth on any topic the week has produced can delve quite deep into issues, if you’re into that sort of thing.

The Rail- 3.5 Krunchies- Weekly Australian Based poker podcast- Concentrating its time on the Australian Pub Poker Scene. Has News, Interviews and Strategy all well covered as well as good banter between hosts. While only new and is still finding its feet, this show has much potential, with more practice and experience this should blossom into a well-rounded show highlighting Australian Pub Poker, offering much for the listener. Also gets an extra half a Krunchie because I got a mention in episode 3.

Poker Static “the hot seat” - 4 Krunchies- 1hr Single interview podcast- If your into interviews of your heroes, recent winners or players of the moment then this is the show for you, 2 interviewers, grill a guest for the entire show getting very good interviews to do with the life of a poker player but also the life outside of the game.

Pocket fives podcast – 2 Krunchies – 1 hr. monthly podcast that targets its Pocket Five members as its audience, has news and interviews and some strat, A little too narrow minded and has a very annoying host- probably not my first choice.

Krunchies Tip- Start with the 2+2 Poker cast and Poker News as well as The Rail for your Australian Flavour and then work back from there.

Strategy Based Poker Podcasts

Tournament Poker Edge- 5 Krunchies- Monthly Podcast concentrating on Strategy for Tournament No limit Players. In my opinion the best of the lot when it comes to strategy podcasts, particularly as a tournament player, mixes up live and online strat. Has also added an infrequent live version which comes out at large tourneys like the WSOP so you can follow your favourite coaches.

Deuce Plays – 4 Krunchies- Bart Hansen Hosts a Deuces Cracked Production- fortnightly Strategy podcasts that concentrates mainly on live cash games but does have some tourney discussion, also deals with PLO and some Stud Strat. Can get quite in depth, probably not for the beginner or the faint hearted as can be complicated. Looks likely this will move from a free podcast to subscription in the coming weeks unfortunately, but if you can keep up with Barts thinking then it will be worth the Investment.

Cash Plays- 3.5 Krunchies- Backed up by the guys from “ Stackem Coaching, this is Live Cash game coaching, mainly holdem but some PLO.
Quite a well-rounded podcast that never gets overly complicated, and also regularly employs a mindset coach similar to golf which is a very interesting angle.Does have a tendancy to berate tourney players which tilts me slightly.

Poker News Strategy- 3.5 Krunchies- Kristy Arnette Hosts an hour long strategy podcast under the poker news banner- Kristy invites high level poker coaches on to discuss different ideas and areas to improve. Only 1 episode in but very well produced and should be a good choice for low to mid-level player starting out on the improvement journey.

Krunchies Tip- Start with TPE as your Strategy base then work from there, entry level players should go for Poker News and avoid Deuce Plays until comfortable with advanced ideas.

Entertainment and Lifestyle Poker Podcasts- Shows hosted by poker players that don’t really focus on poker.

The Lego Cast- 2 krunchies- 1hr long and infrequent- the boys from Lego coaching use this medium to talk about all things, but rarely poker, sports betting, fantasy coaching, chess and the life of a baller poker player.

Hey Ball- 3 krunchies - 1 hr. long weekly podcast from the Deuces cracked stable- A fun podcast that is similar to Lego as it concentrates on sports, the lifestyle and Drinking……..Lots of drinking. Does not take its self too seriously, and can be very entertaining.

D.o.n.k Down Radio- 2 krunchies- By far the most full on of all the podcasts, if you are easily offended then this is not for you.
Imagine every poker forum flamer you have ever known and imagine them all coming together to form the Donk Down forum.
Quite in your face, can last up to 5 hrs. and sometimes never gets anywhere but other time will leave you in tears from laughter.

Not at all benny the cunt

Given time i belive you guys will get there on your own, the main advantage you have is that your different. As shown above there are heaps of shows all doing the same thing so several suffer quite badly in the ratings. You guys offer a similar show but being Australian and having seperate subject matter will always help to stand you out.

Great job so far, keep it up.
