RWC 2011

Postby krunchie » Wed Sep 07, 2011 10:37 pm

Only a few days left till kick off

cant believe there is no talk about this

whats our thoughts, now we have some silverwear dare we dream or shall we just wait for the all blacks to dominate

heres a talking point

I had a kiwi offer me a bet that the all blacks wouldnt win the world cup final by more than 13 points.... would you take this bet.... im not even a all black supporter and this seemed a pretty good straight up bet too me
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Take that bet.

They'll win it, and it will be by more than 13 when they do - all about home ground advantage.

Is this conditional on them actually making the final or do you lose in any scenario that the kiwis don't win the final by more than 13 points?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Go Boks!

Looking forward to this World Cup. Friendly times for Australians means I'll probably get right into it.

New Zealand are great but they always seem to choke in RWCs whereas the Boks have 2 wins and a 3rd from 4 appearances :D Obviously South Africa's form going into this cup isn't super but they're a dark horse. Then you have your usual suspects - Wallabies and England. I would also love to see one of the Islander teams go well.

except when it's at their place.

They won their only WC at home.

For those that would expect New Zealand to comfortably beat Tonga, on Betfair there's good odds in the Margin 10 point split.

First 3 options covers any margin from 21-50 points which sounds about realistic to me.

Can bet on all 3 of them and the worst individual odds is around 7 to 1 so no matter which bracket of 10 points gets up (assuming it's one of those three) you still make profit.

Don't go for this option if you believe:

a) Tonga will win
b) NZ will win by less than 21
c) NZ will win by more than 50
d) a draw might happen

Good luck!

Loving this RWC. Not only because Boks are winning, but some really good matches. Aus v Ireland should be a cracker. Who's pumped?

Ireland 15, Australia 6. Certainly didn't expect that result. Means we will likely run into the boks in a quarter final, and the all blacks on a semi final. The road is much much harder now. We have to hope Italy or someone else beat Ireland now, but I doubt that will happen.
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

Yeah I can't see Ireland losing to anyone else in the pool.

Very disappointing match vs Ireland. They deserved to win for sure.

We won't even come close to beating South Africa if we play like that, not to mention South Africa were imperious against Fiji and if they keep playing like that they may well win the cup.

As a South African supporter it hurts as well that we may have to play Aus in a semi. Would much rather Ireland than an Australian team who are really unpredictable. They may or may not turn up on any given day.
