Ok situation is sb 50 bb 100 a player raises to a 1000 next player wants to re raise what’s the minimum he can re raise?
Is it 900 therefore making the bet 1900?
Or 100 making the bet 1100?

Re: Rule clarification
I would have thought the minimum raise from the next player could be 1800.

Re: Rule clarification
If the player has raised to 1000 total, then the raise was infact 900. That being so the next player to act must raise (at a minimum) to 1900... the raise of 900 + 100 the next raise must be 900 more + one big blind.
so, image the scenario but forget the big blind... thats the easiest way to do it.
1000 (900 + BB) Raise A
1900 (900 + 900 + BB) Raise B

I think i have made this complicated hehe.

Re: Rule clarification
all of these betting rules do my head in (prolly coz i learnt to play poker online, so these aren't things i learn't early)
what nathan is saying is that u dont have to double the chips out there due to a blind, only the extra shoved in.
this has big implications when the blinds are 1K/2K for instance
min raise is to 4K. then, if someone wants to raise again, they only have to go to 6K, not 8K (i hope this is right)
