I'd like to take you seriously, but you have Tupperware on your head.

Mark Harvey probably feels like Jodie Foster in Deliverance.

Ross Lyon's management company (ESP - lololol) manage Harvey too so thats why he didn't tell them.

Kinda brings into question Ross's character if he was talking about all this crap while the Saints were leading up to/in the finals.

thinking about it now, just after st kilda lost their final, lyon kept the players out on the field and was talking to them for an unusually long time given that they were still out on the oval.

i wonder whether he knew by then that this was the last time he would speak to the players - typically right after the finals loss they would have a week or more off i would think, so that is probably the last interaction he had with the players

There's no doubt talks were well on the way with Freo at that point.

He did say in his post match presser after the saints loss that it was 'the end of an era'.

I guess we know what he was talking about now. I know people will say they treated Harvey like crap, but its a business, and im not really sure how else they could have done it.

They waited until st kilda was out of the finals race, Ross needed to give 3 months notice to st kilda in order to exercise the get-out clause in his contract, so im not sure what they could have done differently.

Yes i feel sorry for Mark Harvey as he never really had a full side to pick from this year, but i know the club was annoyed with how he handled some players who were coming back from injury (way too soon). They saw who they thought was a better person for the job, and went for them.

Happens all the time with players being traded or cut, even with years to go on their contracts. This is no different. Maybe it was the fact that it happened so quickly.
