IN SICKNESS & IN HEALTH

Postby The Cougar » Fri Apr 11, 2008 4:08 pm

As winter approaches, and lots of people gather in confined spaces, it only takes one cough, sneeze or exhalation for everyone within 7 metres to be infected by whatever cold, flu or disease is currently out there.

I personally would like to thank the person who coughed all over me at the Payneham last Friday because now I have it and I feel terrible. Notwithstanding I had a dizzy spell, because of the flu, trying to get the cat off the roof and fell off rupturing the ligaments in my ankle.

The point being SHOULD I TURN UP AND PLAY at different venues while I am still sick?

I think it is only fair that I should share my misfortune with others.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Good point Cougar.

Maybe people would go and play NPL feeling a certain way, when they probably wouldn't go to work!

I wouldn't show up if i was sick. Personally, i don't see how anyone can justify being snotty and blowing their nose and then picking up a deck of cards to shuffle and deal and then expect everyone else to shuffle and deal after they've put their germy hands all over it. Or maybe i'm just being a tad precious about it. But seriously, does that sound appealing to anyone?

Well Cougar, my friend!

You made 1 great post, and 1 bad post today... so thats pretty good.

I totally agree... if you are sick, please stay away. Especially with everyone touching cards and chips etc. Germ's are flying around everywhere.

I don't know. I guess it depends on how sick you are, and if you genuinely want to keep people from getting sick... but I don't think you shouldn't have to come to poker just because you've got a cold.

To Couger  and anyone else who reads this thread.

If you are ailing and coughing and feeling like the Couger looks on his best day then do the following.

Put some Vicks on the soles of your feet and put some old sox on. I garantee you that you will stop coughing within minutes and your aches and heavy head will soon clear and you will feel a whole lot better.

Dead set serious........if you don't believe it works then don't try it!!!!! But you would be stupid if you don't, regards Bob B the better looking guy down table from the Couger LOL cheeers mate.
