Wallibies defence was one of the best I have seen. Why would the Boks take their captain off with 30 minutes to go in the game. Seems like their game was based on Englands a few years ago trying to use a Wilkinson approach " field goals not going for a try to win the match.

Because they were allowed to do as they please in the breakdowns by the ref

Why would the Boks take their captain off with 30 minutes to go in the game.

Because his replacement is arguably the best player in the world in that position and many believe should be starting ahead of Smit

Far from it. South African turned down two opportunities in the 1st half to kick at goal from easy positions in favour of the line out. We thought we scored the winning try but the ball was adjudged to be passed forward which was very marginal.

Did you watch this game?

Trishan just because somebody writes a really long umpires whinge, doesn't mean it still isn't a whinge :)

You can't tell me you really think the samo one wasn't a penalty?

Trishan, this has nothing to do with what actually happened but you DO blame the ref every single time.

Just saying...

;)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Evidence of what? The ref was dodgy, you just have to watch the game. Everyone here is suggesting I am being unreasonable for "blaming the umpires" but I am just showing that is a perfectly reasonable belief. The ref's decisions had a direct affect on the outcome of the game.

I am already over it FWIW but I hate people who tell me "You always blame the umpires" and make it out as if it's wrong but clearly I am not the only one who thinks the ref was to blame here.
