If 888 can promote through December. "New" online league format.
Guaranteed Main event ticket.
One off entry $50 + $5 entry. (Once registered you can't un-register, to help with numbers)
Daily event that has a daily updated league table. (Top 10 scores count, places based on average score)
Minimum 24 players required. If more than 36 players then have 2 leagues.
Automatic entry to each daily event, so will be the same points awarded each day.
Runs from 1st Jan to 29th Jan.

Whoever wins the league wins the ticket. or final table of 9 on Saturday 4th Feb with railing(so encourage people to keep playing till the end)
If 2 leagues then Top 4 from each league, unless can have a table of 10 and have top 5.
Maybe as a footnote, any players that finish in the top 10 have the option to buy direct in to the Main Event!

Sorry mate - if I can't read it quickly and understand the concept then its not for us.

It needs to be simple and any mechanics surrounding the event/promotion should be able to be explained in one very succint parahraph.

Yeah, somehow I think you're taking the piss when I was actually trying to help you out. I'm not shooting down your idea, in fact it would work well in a differnet market.

But for the bulk of 888PL players this would just be daunting and placed in the "too hard to understand or follow" basket.

Glyn will present a proposal by the end of the week, his proposal will include concepts and ideas from within this thread.

Understand your point,
Basically the same as is currently in operation weekly at venues,
but played out daily over a course of a month.
Instead of paying out $10 + each week at a venue players pay $55 at the start of the month.

that is something that you can't implement using the current 888 software, so it won't happen.

i think a step system of some kind for main event tickets is clearly the best format for the online leagues, it will be interesting to see what glyn comes up with

I think the 888 software could handle it.
If you register for the 1st game, all people entered get a ticket(entry) to the 2nd day. then 3rd day etc.
Much the same way as you get step tickets to the next event.
I know maybe a pain setting up the steps from each day to the next, but think it would be possible.

888 used to have updated online events each week, so am sure they could create a link for each daily event to produce average and placings.

With set number of players then should be easier to do, as 1-15th will always get the same number of points.

i am happy with steps also.
Though am sure what ever direction Glyn implements will be an improvement on current set up.
