krunchie wrote:thats pretty short sighted Jmack, no offence intended but it is.

whats wrong with admitting that there is posibilities out there that you have not explored yet.

I think possibly you guys are missing the point entirely (as I am sure you think the same about me!).

My point was that Jav was calling my shove pre, so why not get a little more information first before putting my chips in with a fairly weak hand like A7o?? I.e. seeing the flop????....

How does it go? oh yeah.... Jesus Christ...!

And for the record, I have never stated that my play was optimal, in fact I said I played the whole tourney badly. But as much as you guys say I need to open my eyes to your thinking, the same goes for you (particularly the ones who I never see playing anymore). I come up against this gang mentality on this forum again and again. Most of you guys would not have played 1 hand against Jav, I have played hundreds (Gayle excepted). Who are you to tell me what my read was in this situation, or how I should have played it?

BTW, I got my chips in good, and he got lucky and sucked out (yeah yeah, I know, results oriented....).

And we are STILL yet to see the 45o vs KK hand. Where is it Jav?

I have no doubt Jo is a very good 888pl player - but there's a difference between that and being a good poker player. I was exactly the same.

If you're not even willing to take the advice of better players than you, then benny the cunt's right, this discussion is pointless.

You'll see it one day Jo, then come back on this topic and laugh. :)

because you have 5bb!!!!!!!!

813 if you must know. apology accepted

5bb mate. we could go into the maths about how horrible this is with 5bb but once again you wouldn't listen so no point.

jo, you seem to think that i have pulled my opinions out of thin air, but in fact i have been studying pretty hard for the past year and a half or so, reading books, posting on forums, watching videos etc. I do all of these things to try and get better at poker, and i believe it is working. i still have a long way to go obviously.

you on the other hand, have posted a hand here to try and embarrass someone else, only to find that you have made a pretty horrible play, and then you have spent the rest of the time trying to defend your play instead of opening your eyes. this stubbornness will mean you will never take the next step to become anything more than a solid pub player. if thats all you want out of your poker thats fine, but please dont try and limit others with your thinking.

Have to say lots of good points made by all.

Jo you one player, who I respect at the tables wether online or live.

How each of us improve our games is entirely different, books, videos ect all have there place. Playing is the best way. Would love to those who have commented here play more 888pl online rather than criticize a player who is playing.

have to agree with this though - playing is definitely a good way to get better, but i dont think playing alone is enough - that would be like a footballer rocking up on a saturday and just playing - he could be good enough to get by, but is not going to improve unless he goes to training

I remember a big deal being made that Jav laid down the kk to Jo's 45o on the night. I think that Jo has answered a lot of questions about another hand on that night and i think it is only fair that we get to see the original hand he asked for.

666HARPS666 wrote:My 2cents no matter how Jo played that Javier was calling it all the way.

I agree here. He made a similar move on my bb of raising about 2.5 times the blind and then calling my all in with King 6. Was i complaining, no as I had correctly placed him on playing any 2 cards and got my money in ahead. After flopping my ace on a board of k3A I was well in front but he managed to hit another king on the turn and that was it. .

Amen to Krunchie. Looking at other possibilities is not a weakness. Obviously in this forum we have a lot of great players all with a lot of natural talent. I have said it before that Jo is one of the most naturally talented players I have played against and is results in the league show this. However I think that by not being open to other possibilities you are limiting this talent and not reaching its full potential.

I don't disagree with you Ben, study builds the foundation and I know your comments have good intentions.

We all have our own goals & different ways of getting there. Let everyone find there own way. ( some one start a new topic and lets all move on)
