Hi guys, currently looking into dates for this as our current season ends soon! It looks like it may be the second weekend in April(tentatively) Which would be the 14-15th however please keep in mind this is not confirmed.
I'll get back to you by the end of the week with the final outcome.

Sorry that didn't really answer your question.
Everyone's opinion counts in some way; but your opinion matters more to me if you are playing in venue games and mixing with players more frequently that it would if you weren't.

So when Andrew, Javier and Jo tell me something or state an opinion or make a comment like a 'lot of players are thinking/saying this' then it means a great deal more to me than someone saying 'players want to see this' who hasn't played our events frequently or ever.

But as a player who has ceased playing within 888PL - such as yourself; your comments matter just as much when it comes to improving the league or events, as you obviously do not like our product or it needs to be modified to suit your needs.

In regards to the conversation and the topic I was addressing it was quite obvious, IMO, that we were discussing in venue particaption and events/rewards for our ego driven/point chasing players.

You can speak to Steve and Russ about some of my plans as I have sent them some new event briefs.

I am addressing every single one of your ideas but here is a brief synopsis:

1.) TOP GUN INVITATIONAL
Buy in $100 - $150
T20,000 start stack with 25 minute blinds

Invite only event - to be invited you must be top 25/50 on the state LDB, top 5/10 on a regional, venue winner or won x games in a season.

The idea behind this is to bring the best of the best of our League members and to put their money where their mouth is.

I like the idea but the players finishing Top 25/50 on a leaderboard are already probably shelling out $50-$100 a week, now you want them also to shell out $100-$150 to play in an event to see if they are the best. (Is that not what the leaderboards, State finals are for) If you are going to have a $100-$150 just invite everyone, as then you will get a few players.

2.) GLADIATOR SERIES

Name will change but we will designate a month where a series of events will be held, each weekend will see a different format of NLHE tournament.

o Lightly Armed Battle – A series of three turbo tournaments hosted on one day.
Players do not have to play in all three turbos if they don’t want to.
o Heavy Weapons – A Megastack event hosted on one day
o Factional War – Teams of four battle it out on the felt
o Duo Battle – Partners event; based on timing of past events we may host two on one day.
o Single Battle – fifth week event with the top 64/128 on points would battle it out heads up.
Each heads up battle would be the best of three.
o Whenever a tournament reaches heads up we would move to EPL Mix/Match rules
Best of three – players start with stacks they have when they arrived at heads up, if a third game is required both players will start with equal stacks.

All of these events will be a buy in event ranging from $10 - $50; 10% of each events prize pool will go to leaderboard prizes and this prize pool will be awarded to the 5/10 best performers over the season.

** Obviously the point systems is yet to be designed but it will be fairly basic.

Like the idea also but most players tend not to play poker at weekends. Now you want them to play ever weekend for 5 weeks. Just do it over the course of a season, build it up a bit have the progression posted on the website for people to follow. Maybe just limited it too single player games. If you are doing well then your partner mucks up then your chances are blown.Too many of the ideas are started but you never hear who is doing well or won an event. Would be good to follow players and see who is doing well each event. Really build it up and then have the final at the staee finals or Main Event.
