Sorry I did not answer your question regarding incorrect pot awarded to BB. I was already frustrated and felt that my efforts to rectify a huge mistake were in vein at that point. I conceded to ignorance and arrogance and exit the area with the manager. I did not raise the issue with the incorrect sized pot being awarded as I was being instructed to leave.
I did see that BTN player cheered when Ernie said that was the last hand and his face dropped when Ernie announced that the other two players clearly had the 2 largest stacks and therefore the seats to Sunday S/F. I also saw the BB looking at his stack and stunned that he has a stack of red 25k chips and cheered when he realised he got a seat.
I don't know what happened after that as I was out of there.
Did I point out the incorrect pot? No
Did I want to point it out? Yes.
Why didn't I point it out? They already had 1 security guard backing up the manager in the area and I felt that if I turned around and spoke out I would be physically ejected. I don't mind being banned or ejected, but I draw the line at being physically handled by security so I folded to pressure and made my exit. In poker parlance, it was -EV spot for me to say anything more.

OK "warboat"....firstly....you didn't actually see what happened you were talking to Alex and had your back to the table...
Second....the correct pot was awarded to all in player with side pot awarded to correct player...so 200k???? did you actually just pull that figure from the air????
Thirdly....you forgot to mention the player who was actually at the table in the hand who's hand was mucked jumping off his chair and in a not very nice way and very loudly asking if you wanted to sit down and play his hands as you had been criticising his play from the rail all night...oh no that bit seems not to be in here...hmmm....
fourthly......you called me a cheat....that was taken personal......me a cheat? hmmm
losing count here, oh thats it fifthly...."warboat"...why not use your name, Aun, its so easy to stand back and criticise from the rail...as you do in most tournaments you play....you seem to have all the right advice and decisions from the rail....maybe use your "expertise" in a game now and then instead of criticising how everyone else is playing and you to could make final table and get eliminated by one of my disgusting decisions.
sixthly (is that a word?) rule book in your pocket? wow must have a big pocket...have you actually even seen our rules? You would need a friggin big pocket.
and lastly...note the time here, its 3.30 am...i have just arrived home from our weekend of Vics State Champs having worked all Saturday and Sunday running 2 events on saturday till after midnight and then returning at 8 am and running the final until again after midnight and come home and see this bullshit post from a person who was on the rail of my event on friday at 2.30 am........if i wrote what i really felt now i would probably get banned from this site...so i will just say this....there are 2 sides to each story....you also have my ph number....feel free....

how dare you question my integrity at my venue in front of my players...Aun you now have the respect from me that you deserve....absolutely fucking none...and you have that here in a public forum for who ever to see....please never ever come to play at any of my venues...ever...i will refuse you entry and have you removed as the serial pest that you are.
bottom line.....
the correct decision was made....the correct pots were awarded....thats it....for you to carry on as you did just made you look the fool that you are.....every person that was there seen how you carried on and how and why you were escorted out....good night i am now going to get some well earned and overdue sleep.

Stop right there. You are now backing up my story that it was an all-in situation by saying there is a sidepot.
Why wasn't there a showdown?

Well, I was hoping for a more adult response than that.

+1 Ernie you didn't actually answer his question about why somebody's cards were mucked and no showdown occurred?

Whilst its clear that warboat may have got his 'douche on' at the event (which he admitted) he has posted in a constructive way on the forum so far.

I don't know any of the people in question, but I guess I have come to expect a more carefully thought out and professional response from 888pl staff and management.

ok so here is what ACTUALLY happened, remembering this is at 2.30 am with venue manager standing at the table watching the clock as we have to be finished by 2.30......last hand was called as ALL PLAYERS knew that at 2.30 if there is no result positions determined by chip count..this was announced on numerous occasions during the tournament and all players are aware if it got to the time chip counts would decide...now i cant recall actual chip counts or blind levels but thats all irrelevant here anyway as my ruling is the point of contention......utg jams (short stack) bb folds his cards out of turn cards thrown face down, small blind folds.....ummmm ok???? I go into think mode......so ok utg wins his amount from both sb and bb, sb wins his side pot and change given to bb...simple....thats the facts...at no time was entire pot pushed to bb....then the rail expert jumped up and down like he has stated, quoting our rules to me??? besides not actually seeing what happened and then accusing me of cheating??? the 3 remaining players at no time colluded and were happy with the decisions made.....this is a storm in a teacup from an upset railbird whom was annoying players all night from the rail, on 2 different occasions 1 particular player asked in no uncertain terms if he would like to sit and play his game for him...read between the lines people. My decision was the correct decision....and final decision.
