its more like an old pet that you have to put down when it gets old
(not deliberately referencing your dog harps but that thread was nice btw)

Re: Goodbye
Now I can relate to the Mowbray College kids.
(That's a topical reference for the Mel-burners here).
I think it is a shame that this is closing, had some laughs, had some blues, it had something to offer almost everyone.
Can't see facebook having a similar impact.
But cest la vie, thanks for the initiative and effort David.

Re: Goodbye
Definitely a shame to see this forum go. As Garth said, alot of the building blocks of the leagues we love came from this forum, and it's members. It's a real shame that the "new kids on the block" won't get a chance to have the same interactions, but hopefully social media can fill the hole.
A really big congratulations to the Murrin boys for the success of this site, it is a testamony to their dedication, insight and generosity. Thanks guys.
Looking forward to the next step, and catching up with you all on the felt.
Cheers!

Re: Goodbye
maybe this place can be like a rug shop - just closing down for the next 6 months, just so we get to relive all the best bits

Re: Goodbye
Without sounding like a d1ck, is there some sort of financial burden to run this forum? Or a time burden? I would have thought that the hard work has been done and it just runs itself (so to speak). This forum is not really about communicating with full house group management, it's value is in the community it has created.

If I knew of a way of being able to fight for this FORUM to live I would give every bit of effort like I have to keep the freeroll events @ my venue.
So is there anyway Dave?
