Rounders
Is rounders the best movie ever made?
A man's character is stripped bare at the poker table; if the other players read him better than he does, he has only himself to blame. Unless he is both able and prepared to see himself as others do, flaws and all, he will be a loser in cards, as in life

Re: Rounders
Big call!
Best Movie?
Definitely best poker movie, to date.
But then again as poker entertainment goes for me, I prefer to sit back and watch re runs of WPT or WSOP.
Who hasn't watched Rounders though?
I don't think there is anyone on the forum who hasn't watched it, and I know this movie had a huge impact on a lot of people when it was first released, it was the reason Moneymaker got involved in poker.
And ge is the reason poker is so popular today.

Re: Rounders
i only watched it about 6 months ago, and i gotta admit, it is a really good movie, irrespective of the poker involved in it.
smashes all other poker movies i have seen.
you're right though garth, moneymaker (and prolly haschem in oz) definitely helped make poker as popular as it is today, so rounders deserves credit for that.
