Most pro's act childish???
Bit of a steep call there. And when you do see them, it is their TV persona they are bringing to the fore front. If it wasn't for these type of pros, poker wouldn't have the world wide audience it currently does.
But I would also like to add that the way they conduct themselves at the poker tables is completely different to the way they conduct themselves off of it.
I once had the pleasure to play a SnG with Mike "the mouth" Matusow. It came down to three handed and he was throwing a fair bit of verbal abuse my way, several hands later I had eliminated him and lost all respect for who I once thought was in the top five poker players of all time.
He watched the heads up battle and his persona completely changes, his comments were more constructive and positive and he was actually applauding certain plays made rather than shooting down the opponent who fell for the trap.
Needless to say I was shocked and, and I asked him about the change of heart. He just said that's it's his game and his table when he sits down and that he is a different person on the table, after the game he will quite happily sit down and chat with a person he just insulted.
Just a story I thought you might be interested in.

Re: Headwear
I read a similar story online, however it was by Mike Matusow, saying he once got to sit at a table with Garth Kay

Re: Headwear
Yeah that was a god story, he tells that story so much better than I do.
Pity it was just an online publication and not Bluff or something.

David Cross and his knights helmet was pretty funny when he is up against Phil Laak in a hand
(for those that have seen the Grand, that is
)

I really need to see some of these poker movies that everyone is talking about. Hey Scott, do you have a copy that I could borrow?

Re: Headwear
Remember I did say he acted in a manner that I would call normal when he was playing for the US in one of those national tourney's.
I think standing on his chair, closing up the hood, the pushups, rolling on the floor, running around the table like a goose and trying to peep at the card b4 the dealer even lifts it is a little over the top.
But hey, if you see that as good entertainment then you can have it. I'd sooner see Devil Fish and Tony G get Helmeth on tilt, LOL or Mike pouting his lips and steaming, when he gets busted so I guess I'm just as sick as the rest of you LOL.
