I'm David and I started this forum along with Des. I play mainly at the Modbury (north east) each week as well as the occasional venture to the Blue Gums, Roulettes and Pooraka FC.

Last season I finished 5th at the Modbury which is my best effort thus far, and managed to win one in September to get in to the satellite!

I've been playing for about two years and got in to poker because when my brother used to live with me he'd play it all the time online. I got sick of the Full Tilt "beep" for when it was his turn so I thought I'd play as well.

I'm Pete and I'm 32 and a Libran, I don't even slightly enjoy long walks on the beach and I'd be careful around anyone that does :)

I play mostly at the Blue Gums on mondays and Modbury Plaza Hotel on wednesdays (my fave venue). Occasionally I'll chuck in a visit somewhere different (sooo many to choose from!) although there's one or two venues that can take a long walk off a short jetty.

In my spare time I email Garth, he clearly has nothing to do
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I am Garth's younger brother Brett. Seriously.

I live in Victoria, but i am responsible for turning my brother into the poker monster he is today. From the early days playing blackjack on Pokerroom. To me losing $50 of his on a royal flush to my aces full in omaha. And dragging him to the first freeroll game in Morwell.

So my apologies to the state of South Australia. I have let him loose upon you all. But at least you know he enjoys his poker, loves it with a bit too much of a passion. But will always be trying to make it bigger and better for your state.

I just hope there is an edit button in case he reads this :-).

Cheers,
Brett.

P.S Garth get back to work. WSOP in two years, you need to start saving.

Hi Everyone,
MY name is Sean, Iam one of the NPL Operators (south) I have been playing poker for about 6 years and since starting with the NPL have improved my game in many ways alot to do with playing with Garth and the rest of the NPL team. I must thank all players in the NPL for making my job fun (Most of the time) This site is a huge step forward. Not just for the game but will help all players in too many ways to mention. Thank you all.

Welcome aboard Sean... going to have to be careful and not mix you up with Sean O'Hara who plays in the NW areas lol.

Hopefully this site will help promote the NPL and really help everyones game at the same time. As long I can keep one step ahead though

And I'm Ondie J!

Probably been playing poker for about a year, give or take, and it started with some mates and the good 'ol tournament style home game. From there I've played online well before I was ready or had any idea (and I still don't) and lost a bundle, which is still in a losing (sorry pete... loosing ;) ) state, played a ton of home games and am now playing in the NPL where I also finished in a top 5 and in the top 50 avg'rs - 14th or something - in the frist season.

As for regular venues... I'd say the Modbury is an always go for me. Like the venue, like the staff, like the players, like the regular host and it *IS* the designated location of 'Family night'. But I'm also inclined to play just about anywhere if the moods right and someone's interested. I, like my mad mate Pete, have very rubbery arms that require little bending to convince. Normally frequent the Blue Gums, TTG Hotel and very infrequently now, the Windsor & Bremen.

Oh yes... I also enjoy emailing Garth and rattling his cage.
Will dance for your chips!
