I personally don't have too much to suggest for the early blind levels - I think they work just dandy. However, once you've played tight, built your stack a bit you SHOULD be rewarded. I don't think the turbo blind structure rewards good play once you've got past the first, say 3-4 blind levels.
Say you come back after the 2nd break with almost double your starting stack, you've got 5k (I've not been playing a lot lately, so my memory of exact details is slightly hazy), you've only got 3 rounds of the table before being all in blind. Thats
maybe 20 hands? how many of them are statistically likely to be "playable", and how many of them are you likely to hit - say 5-8 (I wish!) playable, hit maybe 3-4 of them? So you've got to get lucky to make it thru - can't afford to make a move - you don't have enough chips to push people off.
I think that is the point most people I've spoken with regarding this make.
But they'd all still rather play NPL
