Hi guys..
Just a new member of the forum and i have been reading up on this deepstack in Berri. Sounds awesome!!!
Alot of people are complaining and whinging about paying $145 a night. People living in Berri (or any country area) have to pay for accomodation etc. for NPL finals etc. Do you here them complaining??
I have stayed at Berri before and it is a fantastic pub with everything you need for a great weekend.
Keep in mind the Resort is also putting up the cash!!! They will want to see a return on the $5000 they are spending. Dont you agree?? How much cash has your local put up for a tourney recently??
Things in the Riverland are not that rosey with the current water restrictions etc. im sure the Resort is feeling it too!! They've got the balls and foresight to host this tourney the least we can do is repay them by staying there and spending some of our money with them too.
Thats my opinion anyway!!
See you there!!!!

Re: Berri $5,000 Deepstack Event.
Nice first post Dave, get ready for some shots fired back though.
I would like to add that there are other options at the hotel such as hotel accommodation at $70 per night.
And with the amount of traveling I have had to do, and the motels I have stayed at, I can say that $145 per night for those rooms is a great price.
Well so far I have 18 people that have notified me that they are attending the event, of which 12 have booked accomodation.
I hope to hear about staff pushing this events in their spiels and to all players. I would like to see a good mix of players from all regions to take part in this event.
$400 over a weekend for something like this is a great price and will be a great experience. $ for $ well worth the money in my opinion.

I'm sure it is a great place, 4 star resort at $145. However, there are cheaper options for accommodation in the riverland, and the fact is, most people just don't have the money to spend $145 on a hotel, for one night.
Welcome to the forums Dave.

I have a solution to all of these accomodation problems. I live in waikerie which is only half an hour away from berri, and i will let poeple camp in my back yard for only $70 a night.
In short, as has been mentioned before, people from country areas have to find somewhere to stay for all state finals and promotions, so get over it, its once a year that city people have to travel, but sometimes it seems that people are a little reluctant to head past geppscross once in a while.

Bloody bennymacca gets the best of both worlds.. GF for the State Finals, and brother for the deepstack.

No I think it's Aaron who has the gf down south and benny the cunt macca's brother lives in Riverland.
I have so many comments to make after that, and those of you know me can probably picture them, but I will leave it.
