Bridgewater Inn

Postby Lincoln Fletcher » Mon Nov 26, 2007 1:04 am

Hey guys,

Had to jump in and tell everyone about the BRIDGEWATER. Fantastic venue, with plenty of prizes - sometimes more than the TD can actually give out("Wow, you went all in on a pair of fives and lost, have a bottle of wine"). Great scenery, the food is fantastic, with a bistro that serves possibly the best steak sandwich I've ever had. There are always snacks during the first break also.

The poker is very well played, including the dynamic and impressive team of 8 - "The Bridgey Bunch". Imposing they may be, but very friendly towards any newcomers, and their passion for the game provides great conversation.

Stamps are:
Softies and Schooners = 1 Stamp
Pints and Spirits = 2 Stamps
Meals = 3 Stamps

This December they have the following drink speccies:
$4.50 Pints of West End
$6 Pints of Becks
$6 Stubbies of McKenna Bourbon & Coke

So if you want to come up for a drive in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, the Bridgewater Inn runs their tournament Sunday evenings, 5:30pm registration 6:30 start. Perfect for a lazy end to the weekend.

387 Mt Barker Rd, Bridgewater.

Cheers,
Lincoln

Must say that we have been to the Bridgewater (after a lazy Sunday drive through the hills).

We were very welcomed by Lincoln & the locals. Every sunday we are free we head up to the Bridgewater to say hello to everyone (and try to get some more bottles of red for our collection).

*hugs* to you Lincoln - keep up the good work.
