Woolshed 3 stamp/$5 drink special!

Postby rcon » Thu May 15, 2008 4:02 pm

I got talked in to playing at the Woolshed last night and rather enjoyed it, and thought their drink specials were worth a mention on here.

There was a list of $5 drinks to choose from that all got you 3 stamps, some more palatable drinks for $6.50 that got you 2 and then some more expensive stuff that escapes my memory.

The $5 one were
Fusion and Dry
Red Bear
An Orange Liquor + mix
Some others

Not a great review, but I’m sure someone can fill in some more details, but the fact you scored 3 stamps for $5 was awesome. It obviously meant that you could have 3 drinks (esp if you chose the liquor) and still drive, whilst getting fully stamped up.

I have no idea if this was an on going special, however they were printed up and stuck in plastic display units on the bar which would suggest to me it was week in, week out.

Wednesday night, 10:30pm for 11:30pm start.

edit: typo :D

I wish more places would have drink deals like this one

Queens Arms has a pretty good deal for people not wanting to do dinner, but stamp up 2 cards and still drive home.

Red Bull Vodka $8 and 4 stamps
Smirnoff Black $8.50 and 4 stamps
They also have pints of Golden Ale for $4.50 and 2 stamps, good for stamping up 1 card.

The Queens Arms don't have the Red Bull & Vodka special anymore :(

So, wait. 3 stamps for a $5 drink, and 2 for a $6.50 drink? That is an awesome move by the venue, 3 stamps for $5 is great.

Unless you're after something specific (like a bourbon) why would anyone buy the $6.50 drink?

Please tell me you didn't just try to spell review. I thought you went to Uni? ;)

Yeah, I was pretty impressed - I've often wondered if some venues might do better with 3 stamps/drink. I've sometimes had to limit myself to 1 card as 4 drinks puts me over the limit. However 3 drinks/3 hours is all good.

They will get my business next time I'm looking for a late game on a Wednesday.
