Best fold? This one was golden. And, well... I don't know why :)

Blinds are at 100/200 and I'm in postion one. Looking down I see myself holding pocket 9's. UTG, just so happens to be my girlfriend, makes a raise to 400 and she didn't have much left after that at all. I'm already putting her on a range of hands that she'd do that on and figure that it's a low pocket or an A5 through to AJ. Then, for some unknown reason I just thought, 'You know what Ondie? You're folding this', and I did.

Another caller and then another person goes all in over the top and the GF calls with only a couple hundred left as does the other person putting them all in and giving the original pusher some change and a small side pot between the two. I don't know what everyone had or all 5 cards but the flop of 10 10 7 with the GF holding A10, and having the hand dominated at that stage made me nod in silent satisfaction. In fact, by the river I would have only had had the 3rd best hand had I have played and lost it to the original all inner.

So a losing hand that I would have normally called or re-raised in that position cost me nothing. Same night I broke QQ and KK with junk on the final table. More ass than class.

The one that sticks in my memory would be folding queens pre-flop to Des' kings. 2 other people in the hand call.

Window a queen. ****.

Turn a blank.

King rolls out on 5th street.

Epic.

Scott makes crazy good folds like that all the time.

If he ever plays JJ I'll probably freak out or something :)

You make me sick Scott :P

Time to load a deck to get him to play it to get quads and to only get smashed by a royal. If he never plays them... should give him a complex :)

i feel i made some pretty good laydowns last night.

i was playing at some place on north terrace next to the train station, cant quite remember the place ;) , and i bought in for 60 skittles in a 2/3 NL game, and turned it into 453 skittles, which was freaking awesome.

first one: got 1010 on the button, and called a 20 raise, 3 in the pot.

flop comes JJ junk. first pos bet another 20, second instacall, and i instantly threw away, thinking my bro was on QQ KK AA, and hoping the other guy doesn't have a J. so i lay it down, and my bro gets his aces cracked by KJ

very next hand, i limp in the cutoff with K9. flop comes K junk junk, dude bets 30. i complain to the dealer, why cant you give me something easy to lay down? after a while, i put him on a better kicker, (AK or something) and fold. turns out he has KJ again.

i know these were both pretty simple laydowns, but i like them because i trusted my read both times, and it was correct.
