Well not really benny the cunt as there is another view to be considered.

It's the middle of winter and it's reasonably cold outside. I give you a hard little painted white ball around 2 inches in diameter and some really stupid looking sticks (after all in the late 19th century that's all they were).

I take you into a poddock where the sheep have eaten the grass very close to the ground. And now I say you have to hit the ball 4 times or less to get it (the ball) into a 4 inch hole.

However the hole is some 400 yards or more away in the paddock with a stick standing in the hole so you can see where it is.

Or would you prefer to sit in a warm room with a pint of the best ale in town and play cards with your mates.

all they need is poker at golf clubs.

so when you finish golf, in the clubhouse while playing poker, you can tell everyone how crap you played and how much luck you didn't have on the golf course , and on the course the next week you can tell everyone how much luck you didn't have on the felt.
