Most hospitality venues work on at least 60% GP inside venue and only 20% GP through bottleshops.

Err, this rule is for males only. Females is 1 in the first hour, 1 every hour there after. The other misconception I hear LOTS around pubs is people trying to tell themselves 1 pint = 1 standard drink. Not likely! (approx 1.3-1.5 standard drinks in a pint)

To the poster who suggested a $20 NPL drink, why not just buy 4 cokes or what ever and leave them on the bar? No one forces you to drink 'em.

Remember those ads?... "4 men and women 2"

Unless my memory has gone to poo (and it might well have) that was referring to 4 standard drinks for men and 2 standard drinks for women (in the first hour) to stay below 0.05 (or was it for 0.08 still?).

Even if that's correct though, everyone has a different metabolism and whatnot so it's very general. If those test yourself breatho things are any good I think it'd be nice to see a lot more of those floating about in venues.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

They wouldnt advertise 'the two in the first hour and one every our after that' cos as you said it isn't a hard and fast rule and doesn't guarantee that somebody is under the limit.

The 4 men and 2 womes thing refers to the amount of standard drinks that a person can drink safely each day (with 2 alcohol free days each week) without increased risk of alcohol related problems and diseases.

I think there used to be some advertising around 4 men/2 women with regards driving and keeping under the limit, however they revised it down to 2 men/1 women a couple of years ago.

I really do love the bottleshop idea for stamps - works on so many levels, even if the dollar spend is a little greater per stamp to offset the lower profit margin for the venue.
It would then be the choice of the player as to which way they went for stamps.
Bluffing?!! Me?!!
