Ouch, set over set. That's harsh, I had that the other night at a home game, I had 6s, he had As. Hurts.

LMAO...
What is a "Home Gay"???

 ;)

Unfortunately it was only a point of the finger, with a quizzical look and a quick "are you Big Pete"... and with him doing the same saying "JJ"

LOL

Then we had to sit down...

But I did watch him play for a bit while I watched another couple of regulars I see around at other venues.

Maybe next time I will get to meet more forum people..

I feel better knowing the guy that knocked me out did so well :D

(I'm the guy that at 400/800 blinds, I pushed with KQ off and you went over the top with 10s, they held up).

Well done.

I came 8th, which was a good result I think. Pushed all in with 22 from the BB after 2 people limped, for 130k (blinds were 15k/30k with 5k ante) and the SB called me with 5 4 offsuit. Suppose he was getting decent pot odds (had to call 100 to win a pot of 230, getting 2.3:1, and he did have a whopping 750k+ stack (lucky me drawing the position directly right of the loose aggressive big stack of the table )...but even with those odds, it's a weird call to make in my opinion. 60/40 (3:2) in the event of 2 overcards, 80/20 (4:1) in the event of an overpair, which were my most likely holdings and 50/50 (1:1) in the event of an underpair (33 or 22 only). I like to think that he would have given me credit for a hand better than 2 3 or 3 4 or 2 4, given the push...pretty sure from a pure maths point of view they're incorrect odds to call.) He hit his 5 and I went home. But anyway, it was a fun day and I'm happy to have got as far as I did.

Dude... now that you've explained the odds and stacks to me...

I'm in shock, that is truly a disgusting call. I guess he figured his cards were live, and he DID have 750k, but still... awful. Anyway he might be reading this so I better be nice :D
