So how was the Kentish last night?
Runners?
Prizes?
Stamp Policy?
Prices of Drinks?
Quality of poker players? Were most NPL or were there pub locals?
Car parking? Was this an issue?
Food?
Service?

Re: Kentish Arms - Opening Night Review
I was going to do a review of it next week - and take some pics to accompany it.
Only managed 11 runners last night, but with Swish closing its poker doors after next Wednesday, this should hopefully rise. The outdoor area is a nice place to play poker, however the lighting was a little dim. This will be rectified before next weeks game.
Stamp policy is pretty standard, 2 for a pint etc etc. It may only be 3 stamps for a meal, but I didn't eat there so I can't be sure. I was told that the food was excellent, though. Despite the fact the game was played in the outdoor area, set a little ways from the main bar, we had table service for the entire duration of the game, which was awesome.
From memory, 1st and 2nd place prizes were venue vouchers, and 3rd place received a six pack of beer. There was also a bounty on the venue manager's head (a really nice bloke, who ended up dealing once he was knocked out because Nathan is a lazy bastard
), which was also a six pack.
No problems with parking last night - there were plenty of parks available on Stanley st. I'll definitely be going back there.
Will post a more comprehensive write-up on stamping/prices etc next week.
