Well I guess I got lucky when a diamond hit on the river and your face said it all M8. You were sooooooooooo, unlucky and I sucked out so badly it was pure GOLD. :o

So you weren't drawing dead Bob? Sounds like you had 7 outs to me.

Edit: Probably only 5 if Bob's description is accurate, cos of the straight flush draw.

Sometimes I wish for me to be a moderator and get rid of useless replies or inuendos that belittle or knit pick words or meanings on this forum. :?

That's not going to happen so once again I need to reply to a useless reply.

The meaning of my sentence was that I drawing dead and that nothing else could save me other than a diamond.

Am I sorry I didn't write that clear enough  bullshit as most people understood the gist of what I was saying.

Bob - you didn't need to clarify - you wrote the same thing in that reply ;)

Bacon is sorta right - you're either drawing dead, or you're not!

Drawing dead implies there is NO CHANCE of winning :)

(A bit like you and Berri ;) )

bob knit picking is what the forum is all about!

seriously though, "drawing dead" usually means that you have no outs in the deck left that can save you.

we did understand the gist, bacon was just being a smartarse.

good on ya bacon for stirring the old bugga up :D

ie. you want to have your cake (to be waaay in front), and eat it too (hand that he might actually call/go all in with).

Greedy bugger :D

i was expecting him to have AK or KQ or something like that

but to re-raise all in with K7, and then win, just shocked me a bit

I do understand your pain. I personally suspect the decks I've been using the last week and a half have been kept in freezers. It doesn't matter how far ahead, or how well I play/badly they play a hand, I find a way to screw myself. I had a golden run for a month there, so I can't complain too much.

Re-raising with K7 IS an interesting move tho

Speaking of "all-in" with AK, I read this article recently

That is a great site, cheers Scott.

i can't really complain either, until i get to the top 5, where i have been severely smashed more than once this season

i have 3 thirds already, surely another win is not far away

i agree with this 100%, and a lot of the time i do make this move

how many times (including sunday night for me) do you see AK go all in preflop and get called by AQ AJ etc and completely smash them?

if the flop misses, all you are doing is putting yourself in a tricky situation if the other person comes out swinging.

great article

You look kind of stupid when you run into KK or AA, but the idea works for me (in principal)

I'm itching to try this at a regular event a couple of times - I can see it either building a stack quickly, or busting out quickly.
