Maybe not his gambling losses though.

It depends what you consider 'major' tournaments, because plenty of pro's have won WPT events, bracelets and Aussie Millions events since then.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

if poker was pure gambling, then we wouldn't be allowed to play for prizes outside the casino would we? weren't you arguing the APA case just before? you seem to have contradicted yourself now

poker is a game of skill (that has a large element of luck involved), wheras gambling is pure chance.

you might have a strategy to try and take advantage of that luck, but it is still luck.

in poker, the opposition is as important as the cards, and so is not gambling.

I didn't say it was pure gambling. It's just gambling. There are so many forms of gambling, some involve more luck than others. Some involve a lot of skill.


If there is such a thing as a "better gambler" (who isn't just luckier) then there is such a thing as skill in gambling.


The point being argued in court, is how much of it is skill and how much is chance.
