very true.

i just can't get into league though just seems too much of a dumbed down version of union, a game which a regularly watch.

in fact, league is probably the only mainstream sport in australia that i don't follow relatively closely

Given a choice between league and lawn bowls, I'm watching the latter... but since there is nothing else, league wins! Plus it's good on a Fri/Sat/Sun night for getting me to sleep

I enjoy league for their abilities, but that's about all.

Do they have a TV so we can watch the State of Origin?

They used to have a large screen out in the beer garden which they played the AFL finals on, I think it's usually off though.

Best bet would be to call them to see if they can put a TV on in the beer garden, or ask when you get there

Union is pretty darn good, I've been lucky enough to go to 2 World Cups and it's absolutely huge.
