Re: Places that could hold a deepstack event
One of the Wednesday night Royal (Kent Town) players was on TT on Monday, but it had nothing to do with NPL.

I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Re: Places that could hold a deepstack event
yeah ok you guys asked for my 2cents.
I do agree with alot of the combinations here and we were talking about it last night at the palais.
There is no issue with it staying in Berri as it was an awsome weekend away and can only improve with time. I think what people are more aiming at doing is possibly having 1 main prize or something almost like the WPT has as in a bracelet that is connected to a couple deeptstack events a year.
Yes you could have Deepstack on the River, Deepstack by the beach and make these some really nice and big competitions. Try combining a couple of different ideas together and you have an awsome event that would take off.
NPL say they are here to show and teach us if we would like to jump on a casino table or try and take off as a pro and I think they are on the right path with these sort of comps.

In the interests of current legislation... I don't recall them ever saying that
It is fair to say that we all have learnt a great deal and if we choose to play for something other than skittles then that would be our own doing. We could also choose to thank the NPL for teaching us how to play, but the two aren't the same thing.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Not really, you have to win your way into the main event via a freeroll instead of forking out cash for it. Quite a difference.
Even player of the week is still via freerolls.
They aren't saying 'go spend <x> dollars and buy your way into a tournament or cash game' but they are giving us the chance to NOT spend money and still get into a major tournament.

Yep, I'm sure they'd want you to be at the casino instead of an NPL venue......
