Re: The Dark Knight
don't try to read into this that i am disrespectful or anything - i haven't seen the movie, but i am looking forward to going to see it soon.
the question i wanna ask is, would it be getting as good reviews if heath ledger was still with us?
i hope the answer is yes, but i will be going to see it regardless.

Depends. I hope not. I wouldn't be surprised if some people are simply hyping the film up because he died. That is to say, if it came out that people were, I wouldn't be shocked.
But he does give a really, really good performance. Easily his best role yet. And the film is awesome.

Re: The Dark Knight
Everyone who has spoken to me that has seen the film, lauds Legder's performance. I've been told it's almost scary to witness the performance he gave.
Although there have been several nominations in the past, only one actor has ever received an Oscar posthumously - Peter Finch in 1976 for his role in 'Network'.

Re: The Dark Knight
even though i haven't really been a massive fan of the batman series in the past , i am looking forward to seeing this movie
do u reckon u have to be a batman fan to appreciate the movie? (in my opinion the x-men movies were much better because i knew all about the story from cominc/cartoons before going to see the movies?)

Re: The Dark Knight
Saw it yesterday with AK, JD an Tommo. Was a great movie and was only made better when Tommo decided to provide some comical amusement by spilling his entire drink over his cruch about a quater of the way through. Made the movie even more enjoyable, if that was possible.
Just a side note though, I wouldn't suggest taking any youngins to see it as it isn't called the "Dark" knight for nothing.

If you've got luck...use it!

No. You would know about the Joker; so you're basically set. There are a few small nuances that you'd pick up along the way if you're a fan of the comics (I'm not, but I recognised a few things I'd heard), but nothing major. Just little things that make you smile and appreciate the film even more.
