Des wrote:Umm how can he specify a date, when they havent confirmed a venue?

Well that's pretty easy dopy. He has to have it before the state final, and he had a date that was acceptable to NPL so that's the date he has to work with. Comprendo?????????

Dopy? Umm relax man.

OK.. say the date was xx. They approach a venue. "We want this venue on xx for regionals". What if the venue says no? At at guess theres only 3 venues which can hold it. What if all 3 are booked up? Then they are fckd.

They would have a date in mind, but there is no point announcing it until they are sure they can find a venue which is available on that date.

If they announce the date, idiots like you will take it as gospel, and then whinge if the date gets changed.

Sorry for using the word dopy on you Des but it seemed appropriate at the time. Unknowingly, you were entering into a conversation between 3 people that had originally taken place at the Kingsford. 8-)

You see we, and I did say we, meaning AK, Matty and myself were discussing it at the Kingy and Matty was explaining how the Willaston had double booked.

Now unfortunately, Matty is having problems finding a venue at this late stage and was considering holding it after the State Finals. However, from what Matty was saying Annabelle wants the Regionals over and done with prior to the State Finals.

So, as there aren't many options left regarding dates and or venues pre-State Finals. And on the evening of our conversation we (AK and Myself) forgot to ask him what date or dates did he have in mind? So, it seemed appropriate to ask Matty on the forum.

So, now you and anyone else who was not privvy to the original conversation between AK, Matty and myself know the whole story. Now, as it has turned out Matty has replied to our queerie and he is trying to find a venue for the 16th of August.

Now, to bring you and whoever else may be interested up to date Des. I was talking to Matty again last night and he is still having a problem finding a venue that can not only hold the numbers required but also on that particular date.

I'm sure Matty will be making every effort to find a venue and will inform yourself and the rest of us via this forum as soon as he has one. :)

And finally, as for idiots like myself!!! Well, let me say I've never seen myself as being an idiot nor a whinger so I assume you are refering to other NPL users. :D

there definately will be a regional final AK, obviously with the events of the past couple days it has slowed our progress down, it will be my number one priority as of monday to get the regional final organised.

Aww, Having the weekend off Matty?

Also wondering why we're looking at a Saturday final during footy season, when discussed previously it was decided it should be avoided.
