Bob, that reply above has got to be one of the rudest ever.

You need to understand something: holding the B&G regionals in a venue that isn't inside the B&G WILL NOT BE HAPPENING. Just like the NPL State Finals would not be held in Tasmania, or the FIFA World Cup on Mars. If there is no available venue before State Finals, we will wait. Its a simple as that.

Like I said in my earlier post, I understand what you're saying - we could hold it in the NE. We don't need to.

Which post in particular Aaron?? You see suggestions such as Mars, Tasmania, Melbourne, etc had very little thought go into them. At least I was offering much closer venues than any of them

Umm ... no. It would be called the Nuriootpa Deep Stack tournament. A deep stack tournament and Berri are mutually exclusive entities.

why support a venue that is outside the region?

what about the people in clare? they aren't going to drive to parafield gardens.. neither are people in Nuri or Tanundra (that mistake is for matty).

The whole idea of regional finals is for people in the region to be able to experience a "state finals" atmosphere without having to travel lots of km's to go to state finals themselves.

It gives a little back to region and you have to also support the venues in that region.

What are the venues going to think if you hold the RF's somewhere else? They are going to think "The NPL aren't really supporting us, so why should we support them or their players".

The RF's **have** to be held in its own region, otherwise the players and venues are going to feel jilted.

Bob it's always been pretty obvious to everyone that you have promoted those venues which you want to hold the RF's at. Maybe you should actually think about the people who live in the region of Barossa and Gawler instead of being close minded and trying to get the RF's moved to somewhere more convenient for you? Until then you'll never be a true B&G'er.

Nice piece Des. I whole heartedly agree with all that you have said. I did realise it would also be embarassing to not hold it within the region.

My suggestion was purely based on Matty saying he was having problems finding a suitable venue within the region that would be able to cater for it.

In regards to my loyalties to Para Hills and Parafield Gardens maybe you should take a look at how many games I have not played there over the last 2 seasons.

And I did say I had no idea if any of the other remaining venues still on the NPL books were able to cater for such a large group.

I'm more than happy to drive from Salisbury to Clare or any other venue within the region. And I'm more than happy to take some others with me if they don't have transport.

As this will be my first Regional it'll be like playing at one of P'Gardens or the old Roulettes big field weekly tournaments. I see there are at least 2 guys I'm more than happy to share a table with.

why is that strange? this was a special event that was just nicknamed the berri deepstack, as it was a deepstack tournament in berri. doesn't have to be there next time

I think everyone just needs to pop a few pills, smoke a few durrys or do whatever it is they do to relax and just move on. Whoo Sah people..Whoo Sah.

Just remember that reading a written conversation is different to hearing a spoken one as it is more open to interpretation.

Everyone should just kiss and make up otherwise it'll be a very tense room for the regionals (wherever it ends up being)
