You know you're a B&Ger when you hear that Julie Norwood won a *insert poker site* tourny by purely following the advice of a magic 8ball.

You know... you've just watched Bruce flat call a min raise with KK, then smash someone with KQ on a Q x x x x board.

You know...Then later on, check his BB with QQ, and call down bets on an A x x 9 x rainbow board, only to be smashed by Darren playing A9.

You know... when you make the FT shortstacked (2xBB) and you give Honi respect, and fold KQ from the dealer position (to her AQ, I was cheering :D).

Ok this was basically a thin veiled attempt to tell you all about my Nuri experience last night :D Good pub, we'll be back next week.

Here's a few!

[b]You know you're a B&Ger when:[b]

- you've worn a "bad beat" glare from Michele Collins despite knocking her out with a perfectly good hand
- you don't even look up any more when Zak Syrianos goes off!
- you've played 2 4 off suit plenty of times 'cos Matty Norwood says it's a great hand.......but you're still waiting to win with it
- you've sat at a table at the Sir John Franklin with Rodney Black and copped 3 of your top 5 all time worst bad beats
- you've decided to have "a quick drink" with Russell Minett and Shawn Noack after a tournament....... and left at 2.00 am next morning
- you can recite (perfectly) Todd Fullagar's strategy on playing low pocket pairs
- you've been to Clare for "an easy game" and been ripped in half
- you still cannot, for the life of you, work out whether Steve Norman has a hand or is bluffing :D
Bluffing?!! Me?!!

glad to see you at Nuriootpa last night ..

.thanks for the referernce to the stratergic plays excuted by myself early in the night in the first game of the season playing some of our BG 'friends' and one of the finest FT dealers the NPL has.

notice you executed a "Bruce fold " on the FT against Honi was it a play for more points .. were you playing position , or because you weren't pot committed or was the fold odds good enough.{ respect for the bet is a soft ploy !!}
should bring your 'own magic 8 ball' next week .
oh and JD you played very well .

. The ' Bruce Theory '.... someone from my table on the start of the night either wins or makes the final table ....still holds.
WD Beau.

hugs..

next week if you dare !!......

I folded because Honi min raised. That meant she had an Ace.

We'll be back next week :D With Zack, I think :P

Bruce, to be honest i think this fabled "bruce throey" is a little eggagerated. You see at the medium sized B&G venues where there are usually 5-6 tables at the start of play, AT LEAST one player, proably 2 are going to make the final table from each table - if we use the law of averages.

Im officially changing the "bruce theory" to "the law of common sense".

I think if everybody tracks the people that were on their table at the start of the night, i think that EVERYBODY would find that one of these people doing well or on the final table.

just jokes Bruce, sorry to shut down your theory.

(on a side note, does anyone wish that Bruce was actually a loose player instead. "Loosey Brucey" has a much better ring to it, but i guess "Bruce the fold-a-matic" also has a good ring to it) :D

and a 2nd riverland lady name unknown ...finish final table.

My comment to my table as a greeting...."the Bruce theory"

Jai 's [local Nuriootpa foe], comment's so you gunna win hey bruce ???

my comment Nah ... You beat me and you'll win.... result He Wins and the two riverland ladies mentioned above both started on my Tables.

so whats the odds of that Sir ? ??

1:100 X 8 :100 x 8: 100 = 64 : 1000000...

what hope did I have.

.better odds in the raffle which I won ' the nice spirit pourer " ...

it was such a nice quiet venue, 10 cent donation each for the duct tape will be required
