NPL Prizes for 1st

Postby AceLosesKing » Fri Dec 21, 2007 12:30 am

So I managed to win (through blind luck, I may add) at the Kingsford for the final week of NPL Season 2, (right now, as of a few hours ago).

Talking to friends afterwards I'm told that the prizes (at least for the last month or so) for finishing 1st have been a card protector, NPL trophy and $50 voucher.

Tonight I only received the voucher and trophy. I don't have any card protectors, and one would be awesome, so can I get fixed up next season? A friend thinks that the card protector might be a "Matt prize only" (ie: when Matt Norwood is TD). Well, he played with us tonight (got knocked out early, too ;)) and to not get a card protector cos he wasn't TD, when he has been for the entire season, is kinda crummy.

If my friend's have their info wrong and no card protector has ever been issued, then by all means ignore this post.

If you need personal info to confirm my identity (although after my "pretty hair" post I'll be surprised if anyone doesn't know who I am...), just PM me.

Aaron the card protectors haven't been given out for first prize for at least the last 2 weeks at all venues. I can personally assure you that they are not a matty only prize as all TD's use exactly the same prize packs at the same time. Also just to clarify when the card protector were given to the winner of a tournament there was no trophy as well.

Congats on winning tonight mate, it was a tough tournament, well for me at least. You must have caught some big hands to get to the win.

cheers

Ah, cheers Matty. Thanks for clearing that up. Wasn't that sure myself, however my mates seemed pretty sure the card protector's were given for 1st.

Seems NPL chops and changes their prizes a lot (NPL hat, smaller glass trophy, plastic trophy, then glass trophy again), was the card protector a monthly thing, like Aussie Millions seats?

Did catch some big hands, through pure ass. My 94 turned into two pair on the flop, won about 10g. From there I was just aiming for the final table, however AA first hand on the final table did help.

Seeya next season.

Basically it comes down to what we have in stock as to what prize packs we are issued with. Running nearly 600 games a month across the state can exhaust our stock pretty quickly.

Have a good christmas and see you for season 3.

cheers
